Plant Based Sealant (100ml)

Our wonderful plant based sealant is finally available to purchase now but we do have a limited supply. 

Our sealant is made from naturally occuring plant oils, Making Tiny Land Sealant food safe and great for use on Toys due to it's non-toxic nature.

Our sealant is vegan and gluten free and contains no synthetic materials.

The sealant creates a barrier to moisture, making your new design water resistant and therefore reduces any colour transfer from leaking if you have used our Wood Stains. With each additional coat of sealant the benefits increase and we recommend at least 3 coats of sealant. Allowing at least 24hrs between each coat. 

When working on wood that hasn’t had any other product added (Stains/paints etc) it would be advisable to raise the grain on the wood then re sand before applying the sealant. 

The oils within the sealant harden through an oxidisation process which means they do take a long time (up to 4 weeks) to 'cure'. Once they do, it's like magic as it creates a natural plastic barrier.

Our natural sealant dries with minimal yellowing and not too shiny. The colours of the wood do deepen when our sealant is applied. Although it deepens the colour it also brings out the natural pattern of the wood. Please test before applying to make sure your familiar with the effect of the oil based sealer. 

Due to the fact that these oils are natural they can biodegrade over time. So any outdoor projects will need refreshing as per many oils.
